Joe
Winchell began his racing career at Hialeah Speedway in August
of 1973. Joe started racing in the cyclone division with his
childhood friends. Joe attributes his driving style and skills
to the Drivers he grew up watching - Billy Barnwell, Bobby Brack
and Dickie Anderson. Joe feels privileged that he was able to race
against the best drivers in the state and also had the
opportunity to drive their race cars at some point in his
career.
While his career has been spent largely on the short tracks of
Florida, Joe Winchell has competed successfully against the
nations drivers, gaining respect and experience. With over
300 features wins and seven track championships to his credit,
Joe has raced in the following Series: All Pro, USA, Florida
Pro, Hooters, SARA, Fascar and Goodyear.
